Sway - a finished quilt

Sway - a finished quilt

A blog post on the Sway quilt. Sway was inspired by a vintage quilt albeit, I changed the construction method and removed y-seams. I’ve wanted to make a red, blue and white for a long time but didn’t have a pattern in mind.

The Sway quilt went through several iterations. It started off inspired by a Tilda Wallflower fabric with blues, browns and pinks.

The Sway quilt pattern can be purchased here.

After making almost all the blocks, I realised I did not like the brown and replaced all the brown blocks with blues and reds.

Here are my quilt tester’s versions of the quilt.

This first one is made by @jess.sews.daily. Jess made her Sway quilt using her Heather Ross collection of fabric.

This second Sway quilt was pattern tested by @jules_quilts . Julie used browns for her baskets and Lori Holt fabric for her flowers.

The Sway quilt pattern can be purchased here.
