The design is versatile and would look great with different types of fabrics. Here are some ways it can be adapted to achieve a different look:
-Liberty of London fabrics with low volume fabrics for the sashing.
-feedsack fabric with a vintage green solid for the sashing (eg Kona Solid in Aloe)
-include repurposed fabrics like linen tea towels, vintage embroidered doilies, worn cotton shirts or cotton dresses
-novelty fabrics mixed with blender fabrics to create an i-spy quilt
