Tabby Pillow Pattern PDF 

Turn your scraps, fabric stash and leftover precuts into a colourful pillow with a woven appearance. 

The name Tabby comes from “tabby weave”, another term for plain weave, where threads pass over and under one another. In this quilt, the design is set on the diagonal to create an interlaced basket-weave effect across the pillow top.

Tabby is traditionally pieced using rotary-cut pieces and is well suited to scrappy sewing. Mix colours and prints freely, work within a favourite colour palette or use coordinating precuts for a more planned finish. The repeated construction makes it an enjoyable project to sew a little at a time while gradually building the overall pattern.
